For this year, I was inspired by the adorable new arrivals at Janie & Jack! The quality is great for years of hand-me-downs and the style is classic and precious. The sizes of most pieces featured are 6m – 18. At the time of this posting they are having their Friends & Family Sale which is 25% off!
I started with pieces made from a fabric that is associated with spring and warmer weather: seersucker. It is a thin, puckered, all cotton fabric that because of the way it is woven, tends to stay away from the body aiding in air circulation and doesn’t need pressing. The name comes from the Persian words meaning “milk and sugar” which refers to the rough and smooth textures of the stripes.
